TECHTREX™ 73000 Product Information

73000 contains PTFE

The 72000 series TECHTREX™ formulation contains PTFE. PTFE has excellent friction reducing capabilities in low speed low pressure applications. TECHTREX™ 73000 creates a measurably softer surface than TECHTREX™ 72000. Use TECHTREX™ 73000 where a smooth low friction or anti-stiction coatings is desired. TECHTREX™ 73000 series coatings have better lubrication properties than TECHTREX™ 71000. If a thicker film build of TECHTREX™ 73000 is desired TECHTREX™ 71000 should be utilized to build or increase film thickness. TECHTREX™ 73000 series formulations should be applied as the final coat. Multiple coats of TECHTREX™ 73000 are not possible due to the release characteristics of PTFE. The percentage of PTFE can be modified to meet specific customer requirements.

TECHTREX™ 71000 meets the composition requirements of:

• FDA regulation 21CFR 177.2415 for repeated use in contact with food. (End users and processors should note that it is the responsibility of the manufacturer of the food contact article to assure compliance of the extractive limitations of 21 C.F.R. 177.2415.)
