Welcome to Techlines... October 2003From Powerkits, Singapore'We have found a new application for TBC. It's for our everyday household use. A customer whom just had his house built, had hot water problems. He can't get water hot enough at the top floor (3rd floor) of his house, reason being that there was too much heat lost through the pipes from the basement all the way up. We applied BHK on all the copper pipes from the electric boiler at the basement through out the plumbing network. We even coated his hot water storage tank with BHK on the out side as well. Now his feed back is that the water is not only hot at the top, his electric bills has been reduced. This is due to the heater coil in the tank does not comes on that often and water heats up faster with min. lost." NEW PRODUCTSPTFE CoatingsTech Line will be making available a line of PTFE (Teflon) filled coatings in the next few months. These will be water based and will contain a variety of additional fillers depending on application needs. Straight PTFE, as well as PTFE and Moly; PTFE, Moly and Graphite formulations will be available as well as other blends. The coatings in most cases will cure at 350f for 1 hour at temperature and create a very durable, slick lubricious film. Depending on the lubricants and fillers used different characteristics will be displayed by the coatings. These are proving to be very easy to apply, in testing, and will open additional markets for users of Tech Line coating products. As soon as development is completed, we will release specifics. Coated parts will be on display at the PRI show in Indy. GRAY ICE High Temperature CoatingMany shops are unaware of our product Gray Ice™. This is a high temperature exhaust system coating that is similar to our Colorgard series, except is has a metal flake appearance in bright sunlight. GHK has excellent temperature stability and corrosion resistance. The Dark Gray finish is slightly shinny and imparts a unique appearance to any exhaust system component. In addition, like the CermaColor finishes, Gray Ice can be used with Cermakrome, as a top coat, to create appealing designs. Available in quarts and gallons and is only available to shops.
