Strategic Alliance

Tech Line Coatings, Inc. wishes to announce the forming of a Strategic Alliance with Victrex plc of the U.K. Victrex is well known for manufacturing PEEK. PEEK is normally supplied in a pelletized form for injection molding, to form extremely durable, light weight, chemical resistant parts, with a low co-efficient of friction.

NOW Victrex and Tech Line have joined forces to produce coatings utilizing an extremely fine powdered grade of PEEK. Tech Line will use their recognized expertise, to develop thin film coatings that have the properties of PEEK, but can be applied to virtually any substrate that can handle the cure temperatures. A wide variety of added ingredients, which cannot be used in the pelletized form, will be incorporated into the coatings to enhance properties. PTFE, PFA, Moly, Graphite, Various Ceramics and a wide variety of other ingredients can be blended in. These NEW Coatings will have tremendous durability, chemical, corrosion and abrasion resistance, release properties as well as reducing friction. Many of the formulations will be FDA and USDA acceptable.

In addition to the liquid coatings produced, a number of fine powdered grades will be blended that can be Electro statically applied. In most cases the same properties of the liquid coatings will be available in the powdered form. The powdered form of this material can also be built to significant thickness. This will allow the material to be used to build up a part and then do a final machining to a finished dimension, while maintaining the extra properties unique to the blend. The finished material machines very much like aluminum, but in certain formulations has greater strength and wear resistance than steel.

The Tech Line / Victrex Co- Branded products will only be available initially to select, Approved Companies. Sales and Marketing support as well as Technical support is being provided jointly by Victrex and Tech Line. Tech Line has been granted exclusive rights to manufacture and market such coatings, using PEEK, in North America. All the Tech Line formulations will be available outside the North American Market as well

New Products

Tech Line will have several new products on display at the Performance racing Industry trade show, Dec 4-6. Some are available for sale at this time and others are in a developmental stage, but should be available after the first of the year. If you are able to attend the show, you can get a jump on the market by learning about these new coatings.

New Product

Tech Line will be releasing a new product for metal repair. This "metal putty" will be available in two formulations. The first will air cure and can handle temperatures to @350f The second can handle temperatures in excess of 1000f and cures at 450f. Both formulations can be machined after curing and can be used under other coatings, both liquid and powder, with no out gassing problems. This is a single stage material for ease of handling and application. In addition through the use of a thinner blended to work with the putty, it can be thinned enough to be spray applied in thin films. This new product (air cure version only) can be applied to virtually any substrate including plastics and even wood. A thickness of approximately 3/8 of an inch is possible in a single application. Total area and volume will determine the maximum thickness in a single coat. Build up worn parts, reshape surfaces and provide a hard, metallic, surface to less durable parts.
