SEMA SHOW

Tech Line will be at the SEMA Show this year. The dates are; OCT 30, to Nov 2, 2007. We will be in booth #20530 in the Performance area. Please stop by and say hello. We will have several new coatings for the retail market on display.

NEW CORROSION BASE COAT

We have developed a new base coat to provide increased bond and enhanced corrosion resistance. The new coating is a water based Metallic Ceramic and does NOT require a cure before being top coated. Simply spray onto the part and allow to air dry. Then top coat with your choice of coatings and bake at the top coat cure temperature.

We have been testing this material for some time and it is showing excellent salt spray resistance. An independent test has shown comparable results. The new coating known as “PrevCor™” will substantially reduce the time needed to coat parts. Typically on exhaust system parts the practice for maximum corrosion protection has been to use a base coat of Cermakrome, bake and lightly etch the Cermakrome™ and then top coat and bake again. Now only one bake is required and no etching of the base coat. In addition the cost of PrevCor™ is less than the cost of Cermakrome™, providing additional savings. PrevCor™ is not limited to high temperature applications only. Many of our coatings can be applied as top coats with no difficulty.

PrevCor™ will be available in Quart and Gallons for shop use only. This will not be a retail item at this time.

Clear coats and anti graffiti coats

Tech Line has been developing a variety of clear air curing protective coatings. Excellent chemical and corrosion resistance coupled with non stick properties. These new systems will be on display at the PRI show in December. Information on these coatings will be available starting in September.
