Liqui20 (L20) the base for making Powdr20 will become available in Retail Packaging in April. This will allow both shops and the Do-It-Yourself market to benefit from the technology. We will NOT be selling the Powder, which is available from many sources. We will be developing and packaging special effect additives that will be available for custom application. In addition we will be making standard, low adhesive, decal/templates available for those desiring to do flames and other graphics.
When combined with LTC, which is also available in Retail Packaging, low melt substrates such as plastic can be coated without the coating being cured at a full cure temperature. By top coating with LTC, a full cure is not necessary. In addition LTC has better chemical resistance than a cured Powder Coating. This will also allow some metal parts to be coated without disassembling the unit. Simply use a heat gun or other method of applying sufficient heat to melt the powder. The use of this method is only applicable to parts that will not see significant heat.
R & D
Tech Line is heavily involved in new product development. For companies needing custom coatings or have not found a satisfactory coating for a specific application from other manufacturers, please contact us with your needs. We are currently developing coatings for applications needing good dielectric characteristics, non stick, chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature lubrication, reflectivity (both heat and light) and for metal replacement. We can work with a variety of chemistries both organic and inorganic.
New Web Site
The new web site is expected to be up and running by the end of the month. If anyone has any suggestions as to features that they would like to see, please let us know. We do have plans to include video training on the web site as soon as possible. The web site at this time will be divided between Automotive High Performance Coatings, Industrial Coatings and Powder20. Technical bulletins, Data Sheets, MSDS and other information will be on the site and linked to each product. We are trying to make the site as user friendly as possible. Any recommendations as to needed features or suggestions as to any changes that you feel need to be made, once you have visited the site, will be appreciated.
