TECH LINE exhaust system
coatings are designed to maintain adhesion at temperatures above the normal
operating range of an exhaust system. Unless otherwise indicated temperatures
given refer to the base metal temperature that a coating can normally
be expected to handle. Depending on the resin system, TECH
LINE coatings designed for exhaust systems, can handle base metal
temperatures in excess of 2000f. Color change can be expected at lower
temperatures with many of the coatings. A color change does not necessarily
reflect a failure of the coating, as color stability is secondary to the
protective function. Several colors have maintained color stability, to
base metal temperatures in excess of 1600f. The use of multiple coats
including MCS™ can raise the color stability of all exhaust system coatings.

CermaWhiteis a single component ceramic coating system, designed
for high temperature applications. CermaWhite will impart
a smooth chalk white finish to the coated substrate. CermaWhite
may be applied directly to bare metal. CermaWhite is flexible
and will not delaminate, yellow, crack or peel when properly applied.
CermaWhite is an excellent coating for exhaust systems
and will be especially appealing to the nostalgia market where a white
painted exhaust is needed for originality. CermaWhite creates
a very durable finish that makes it ideal for use on side pipes or other
exposed exhaust system components. CermaWhite requires
no baking. CermaWhite is retail packaged to allow the Coat-It-Yourself
enthusiast to take advantage of this new product.

CERMASEAL

#63032
Gallon #63028
|
|
CERMASEAL is a thin film coating designed to insulate and
protect Exhaust system coatings. CERMASEAL reduces the
oxidation that can occur on highly polished Metallic Ceramic coatings,
allowing the bright chrome like finish to last much longer. CERMASEAL
may also be applied to CermaStainless, CermaWhite, Cermakrome and
other Tech Line products.
CERMASEAL gives a mild gloss to the coated surface and
seals the finished part so that it is resistance to moat chemicals found
in an automotive environment. CERMASEAL provides a smooth
surface, which is easy to clean and resists staining from both fuel
and oil. CERMASEAL may also be applied to any polished
metal and some plastic surfaces. CERMASEAL requires no
baking. CERMASEAL is retail packaged, to allow the Coat-It-Yourself
enthusiast to take advantage of this new product.
